sarah – feisty eats blog

i read sarah’s blog on a regular basis. she loves food and blogs about it. in detail. which comes pretty handy.

looove her posts about grilling & asian food. those are my favorite :)

besides her homemade adventures she goes to local restaurants to try their food. she comes home and blogs about it. too.

a.k.a. she  reviews the food. as i said. before. in. d.e.t.a.i.l.

i get an email the other day. hmm, let me check my inbox again, i said. you have to take in consideration i just had checked it 3 minutes ago.

hit refresh and i see the “receiving 1 message” notification and i’m super excited.

you know who emails me? yeah. sarah. {ahhh}.

when i see her email requesting one dozen of the lemon lime cupcakes. i. immediately had a light bulb over my head with the words: blog.

thought to myself: well. she’s going to blog about the cupcakes and she is going to be honest. pressure is on. so i went and bought my ingredients – fresh as usual – right away.

here are her tweets and her photos. click here to read her review on the baking cup cupcakes and to follow her blog & delicious posts.

thanks sarah!

lemon keeps on giving

if you read my previous entry here, you know the baking cup has been baking lots of sweets with lemon.

{what’s that? you haven’t read it. yet? thanks to technology you can by just clicking the link above! but. promise me you’ll come back though.}

this time. lemon was mixed with something else. another ingredient popular among bakers in general: poppy seeds.

i don’t know what it is about these seeds that are so awesome !!! tanginess, perhaps? if you do know. please leave me a comment below.

proceeded to adventure. and. baked lemon poppy seed cupcakes & frosted them with cream cheese. this is to continue the tanginess. i guess?

they were a hit and are becoming quite popular. so much. that. i decided to add it as a new flavor!

you can have these with any other frosting of your preference. too.

enjoy!

introducing a new friend

yes. the baking cup has a new friend. well. i would say they’ve been best friends lately.

you and me are all excited because it’s 70 degrees {average} outside. and. feel. well. like eating everything light.

hmm. light it’s not a great word. i don’t like diets and that word reminds me of it. and. i don’t think you like it either.

it’s all about balanced meals throughout the day, right?

ok. instead of light. let’s say flavorful and fragrant. what do you think? it’s that a little better?   i think so :)

the baking cup has been delivering tons of orders lately. and. let me just say that i’m a happy human being!

these orders include flavors that. i. myself. have. never. heard. before.

but. i will tell you more about that later this week.

lemon and the baking cup are pretty close together. that much. that. they are falling in love.

why? hmm, i found out that lemon it’s a top pick & a favorite among the baking cup lovely clients.

even this tweet from @al_winmill was about the lemon-lime and swiss merengue buttercream cupcake i delivered to my tweep @katpinke :)

if you don’t follow them on twitter. you know what you have to do {hint: click the links above}

vacation – the baking cup style

if you remember my post about friendship here, you probably know that i went to florida on vacation a few weeks ago.

but. i have something to confess. {i think i’m in need of a new one} … shhh!

don’t you wish vacation came in packs of 12?

um, i take one-six pack of vacation please – this is you telling the clerk at the vacation store.

hmm. what? see. i’m making no sense. hence the need of a vacation.

had a great time with the boyfriend, my best friend, her boyfriend & sister.

you wonder if i tried a competitor down there?

why, yes. went to cami cakes. got a red velvet cupcake. mmm.

oh, and saw not one. but. two weddings!

have a nice {rest of the} week!

sweet packaging

after several weeks of searching for an earth-friendly packaging – but cool looking – i came across a website that sells kraft boxes for pretty much everything {baking wise} under the sun.

they are: pretty. chic. simple. all i wanted !

i get to the site. and.  of course i proceed to order the boxes right away thinking they’re going to be on time for a few orders i already had lined up.

hmm. well. it was not the case.

the boxes took way tooooo long to arrive.

and some of my lovely clients were given acrylic transparent boxes instead.

you know.  the ones that you see at the grocery store? not. pretty. at. all.

but since i’ve had them, my sweet clients have been able to enjoy their cupcakes in style.

the box can also hold a two-layer six inch cake. convenient. right? :)

which reminds me. the baking cup will also be baking these cakes for any occasion.

more on that later.

i snapped some photos for you to see.
