vacation – the baking cup style

if you remember my post about friendship here, you probably know that i went to florida on vacation a few weeks ago.

but. i have something to confess. {i think i’m in need of a new one} … shhh!

don’t you wish vacation came in packs of 12?

um, i take one-six pack of vacation please – this is you telling the clerk at the vacation store.

hmm. what? see. i’m making no sense. hence the need of a vacation.

had a great time with the boyfriend, my best friend, her boyfriend & sister.

you wonder if i tried a competitor down there?

why, yes. went to cami cakes. got a red velvet cupcake. mmm.

oh, and saw not one. but. two weddings!

sweet packaging

after several weeks of searching for an earth-friendly packaging – but cool looking – i came across a website that sells kraft boxes for pretty much everything {baking wise} under the sun.

they are: pretty. chic. simple. all i wanted !

i get to the site. and. of course i proceed to order the boxes right away thinking they’re going to be on time for a few orders i already had lined up.

hmm. well. it was not the case.

the boxes took way tooooo long to arrive.

and some of my lovely clients were given acrylic transparent boxes instead.

you know. the ones that you see at the grocery store? not. pretty. at. all.

but since i’ve had them, my sweet clients have been able to enjoy their cupcakes in style.

the box can also hold a two-layer six inch cake. convenient. right? :)

which reminds me. the baking cup will also be baking these cakes for any occasion.

cupcake flavors

you know when you are surrounded by say: babies, brides, teachers, coworkers, sweets {me!} or some sort of subject all day, every day and need a break?

well, i don’t. hence the “me” right next to sweets above.

see. i’m constantly thinking about baking, sweets and desserts. new flavors, new baking gadgets, new {custom} recipes. new this. new that.

it never ends. and i love it that way!

and the cupcake giveaway winner is…

one of the million things you probably don’t know about me is that i absolutely l.o.v.e. giveaways.

so. as you can tell, i had a lot of fun this time with the baking cup cupcake flavor giveaway :)

a huge thanks go to all who voted and my peeps over at twitter and facebook.

you made it really hard. can i please say that the flavors were unbelievable?

{pina colada cupcakes with coconut frosting; oreo cookie cupcake with buttercream ice cream; “lavender” honey/vanilla cake with lavender frosting; dreamsicle (orange and cream) w/cream cheese frosting and orange peel on top; german chocolate cupcake with a delicious coconut frosting}

and so forth.

great – i’m hungry for cupcakes and i just got back from the gym !

valentine’s day

in my opinion, today is just an excuse to celebrate the fact that we absolutely l.o.v.e. chocolate (even men) and candy. yes. men enjoy chocolate, too.

it seems that chocolate is in demand all the time. so i decided to make the most chocolaty cupcakes the baking cup offers.

remember that post where nutella was sold out in fargo? well, i have redeemed myself and stocked up. oh no, i was not going to let that happen again. ever. again.

these double-chocolate-fudge cupcakes with buttery frosting are a favorite.

they have the outside crunchiness of a brownie with a soft cake inside. the buttercream frosting is extra buttery to complement the sweet center while the cake itself is a bit bittersweet.

they are chocolate nutella cupcakes.
